This weekend marked the return of the Baby Bash and Bling Expo and Show to Washington, DC, an experience that embraces glam and Mommyhood. The event targets not just new and expectant Mommies but I dare not say veteran Mommies rather Mommies such as myself who have been in the game for longer than a minute (pauses to wipe brow).

I had the pleasure of kicking off the expo activities the night before by lending a voice amongst a panel of fabulous ladies some of whom are my Blogger buds, for #HotMommaHaute. The ladies and I dished amongst an engaging audience about everything from fashion and beauty to juggling the Mommy lifestyle while managing our individual brands.

Founded by Monica Byrd and sponsored by Tieks, Babies R Us, Lash Moi, Huggies and Happy Family, Baby Bash and Bling was hosted by Pop Culture Specialist and Entertainment Correspondent, Tanika Ray. Tanika is a celebrity Mom in her own right, she has a 14 month old newbie. She joined in the dish amongst the panel the night before also and provided a generous peek into her Mommy lifestyle.

Saturday's Baby Bash and Bling featured, "Bump the Runway" fashion show produced by Maggy Francois, LLC. The show included children's fashion, maternity wear and scrubs for Daddy. The models were adorned in apparel from TJ Maxx, Hush Boutique and more.

There was an interactive style session led by Keri, Henderson of adivastateofmind.com, a complimentary Brow and Lash Bar by Lash Moi and a marketplace full of vendors. Myself and other attendees shopped everything from life insurance and cupcakes to organic children's wear and jewelry.

But being as though I've been in the game as I said, some of this swag has to be passed on to someone who can put it to much better use being as though my three are so far beyond the newborn stage. Surprisingly enough, I won a raffle at Saturday's affair for a 4Moms rockaRoo, valued at 179.99. The rockaRoo is the ultimate in just keeping a baby tame and quiet. What Mom new or otherwise can't appreciate that???? Raises hand HIGH!
