MAKEOVER SERIES: YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT I FOUND!!!

All week I've been chronicling my efforts to get my home office back in shape. It started HERE with the clean-up and then HERE with the design. "Started from the bottom now we here" is literally echoing in my mind. Some of you may not get that but anyway, I couldn't not share that which I happened upon as I was cleaning and de-cluttering. Some discoveries brought back memories and others

5 HOT LOOK-A-LIKES TO MY LULUS.COM BOOTS THAT EVERYBODY WANTS!

I love a fab shoe!! And I mean shoe in the broad sense be it a pump, a sandal, a flat or a boot. It's safe to say my love of shoes can easily be classified as a fetish (drops mic and takes a seat.) I literally have a #ItsAFetish Pinterest board dedicated solely to my love of shoes. Can you relate? Click here to follow styles that I swoon over.

So winter is upon us. I look forward to winter for a few reasons. Not many though cause I like cold less as I get older (giving Mother Nature the side-eye.) But being able to rock certain boots that I only pull out when the temps go down is one. To the left is one style in particular that ALWAYS attracts attention. I've been stopped on the street, in the airport, while eating. And I've even had friends try to steal these boots off my feet while I am wearing them mind you! I adore these boots. I am barely 5 feet but the over-the-knee length actually elongates my legs and makes me look slimmer. I love the buckle embellishments that give them even more flair. They are warm. And there is just a 1" stacked heel so the fit is extremely comfortable. I've literally been out with my kids all day ripping and running and I can stay in these boots all day. The leather is soft and stretchy and with the side zipper, they are very easy to put on and take off. And you can dress them up and pair with a skirt/dress or dress down and pair with leggings/denim.

Pictured with my son at his recent Soccer tourney again in my tried and true boots.
Lulus.com is one of my favorite online shopping destinations primarily consisting of emerging designers. But you can find everything from dresses and shoes to accessories and beauty products. And at amazing prices! Not only am I a fan but Lulu*s has been very supportive of my Bag Ladies. Lulu*s sponsored my participation in last year's #Blogalicious5 as official Social Media Partner.

I'm always flattered by the compliments but I'm sorry to say that this particular style is no longer available (I've had them for like 2 years), but because I am so often asked about them …I literally had a 10 minute conversation with friends last evening over dinner about options for wearing and where they can find. So I said to myself hmmm, let me check Lulu*s and see what they got. I selected five look-a-likes and while they aren't exactly the same obviously, they are just as HOT with great price points (I included the cost and direct link), and like me, may give you a reason to love the colder months that much more.

Clayton 14. I love the fact that these are only $48 bucks! And like mine, they are over-the-knee, soft and supple leather with silver buckles and a side zip. Click here!
Bamboo Montage 80X. Like mine, this style has a 1" heel and is over-the-knee. And although you can't see, there is a gold zipper on the side and the exposed buckle is gold too. And only $52 dollars. Click here!
Outlaw 81. Although a tad shorter in length, they are leather. And there are exposed buckles at the top and bottom. What you don't see is an exposed side-zipper trimmed in a hot electric blue. $46 bucks. Click here!
Herley11. The studs had me at "hello." Leather, over the knee with a 1" heel and a zipper in the back. The black leather is vegan. $46. Click here!
Wanted Bayon. So I deter a bit. These are brown but I just love the exposed gold buckles. And these are over-the-knee. The most costly as they are both leather and suede but still a steal at $89. Click here!
What do you think? Which style is your fave? Get em' while you can! Note, quantities for some are very limited. And might I add although not really my style, these boots although over the knee can be worn year round. I have ankle and mid-calf boots that I often wear in the warmer months even.

Happy 2014!!

#BeautyTalk ...Hide Em In Shame And Still Be FAB!

If anything like me, upon an abrupt and unexpected change in weather pattern resulting in soaring temps, you look down only to cringe at the sight of unkempt toes. Just yesterday it was 37 degrees!!! The last few visits to my nail stylist, didn't require a "pedi" (short for pedicure), so I shirked all accountability, diminished all sense of urgency and just addressed getting my #NailSwagBL on for my fingertips. The toes can wait I said to myself and I'm saving money. I won't be showing em off anytime soon anyway. And here comes a 60+ degree day and all I wanna do is twinkle my toes. All I wanna do is break out a pair of open toe shoes that have been sitting in a box for the last 6 months wondering when Mommy will rock em, wondering when they will hit the street, wondering when they will be paired with a fab (short for fabulous), ensemble. Well, it ain't gonna be today because Mommy is hiding those toes in shame.

Alas, there is a solution! Styles that allow you to feel as though your feet are partially out but without having to subject yourself (or anyone else), to those unsightly dogs. And might I add my toes just aren't polished, they look fine otherwise :-).
The Jeannell Black Metallic Lace Up Pump was scored from a recent #RetailTherapy binge on https://www.solesociety.com. FYI, it comes in 3 color options. As you can see although the style is closed toe, the shoe itself is not entirely closed so I can still feel the spring air on my feet without exposing those toes.  The turquoise and purple style is totally one that's been sitting on the shelf for I don't even know how long, never worn and dying to get out I'm sure. I scored these from www.shoedazzle.com, eons ago.
P.S. - Yes, I've scheduled a pedi appointment. All will be well in two days ...And counting. Click the link: www.instagram.com/bagladies, to follow me on IG for pics of the "after." The "before" shall remain hidden in shame.

UPDATE: Yesterday's view. The Jeannell Black Metallic Lace-Up Pump put to practical use, paired with American Eagle grey cargo jegging. And although unseen, an Old Navy ribbed white tank and black leather Xhilaration cropped blazer from Target. Yesterday was so amazing! Spring is in the air and I couldn't even fathom the thought of being indoors so I stayed outside and played as long as I could, shopping included.

Oooh, Ooh, Ooh, Jimmy Choo!!!

Oooooh, Ooh, Ooh, Jimmy Choo!!! This breaking news is absolutely worthy of an entirely dedicated post. If you are as much of a fiend for shoes as Bag Ladies, then waiting patiently for the debut of what promises to be an awesome collaboration may very well be one of the most difficult things you have ever done. So I guess you're likely saying get to it already, huh? What collaboration do I speak of you ask? The collaboration between Jimmy Choo and one of our fave retailers, H&M of course!!! Yup, that's right. Jimmy Choo is following in the footsteps of other famous icons and designers that have collaborated with H&M to include Madonna, Matthew Williamson and Stella McCartney and promising us "a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection." Per Founder and President, Tamara Mellon. The collection will feature a women and men's line including handbags, shoes and apparel. And if you are one of those living inside a cave, please allow Bag Ladies to jog your memory, Jimmy Choo was made even more famous by Carrie Bradshaw from "Sex & the City". I lost count of how many times the label Jimmy Choo was mentioned per episode. I think perhaps there was a contractual agreement that required Carrie Bradshaw to mention Jimmy Choo x number of times but with styles such as these how could you not utter the name Jimmy Choo every chance you get.

The collection will launch in 200 H&M stores on November 14th so mark your calendars now cause I am already envisioning the number of women that will swarm those few outlets and unless you wanna be trampled, you need be prepared. Look to mybagladies for a follow-up on how to best suit up to ensure you aren't bumped and bruised while attempting to secure what will surely be some must-have pieces. Hold your breath for the collection price points.
