Decorating your Christmas tree has moved beyond the days of "A Charlie Brown Christmas Tree", and slight trimming and colorful lights. 4. Be bold: Who says your Christmas tree has to be green? Purchasing a colored Christmas tree is not only stylish, but it says you’re not afraid to take risks. Try walmart.com for Christmas trees in varying colors at affordable prices.

5. Keep it classic with a modern twist: If you’re into the traditional Christmas feel, then a colored Christmas tree may not be your approach, but this doesn’t mean you still can’t have fun with your décor. Keep your Christmas tree classic, while enhancing it with modern ornaments. These ornaments found at Crate and Barrel keep the classic feel, but have a modern look.

A Fresh Scent Boost!!! #MommyMidday

So as a Mommy of three, I'm always interested in practical solutions. Introducing Gain Fireworks!! This new product from the Gain brand is an in-wash scent booster. So new in fact, that I'm unable to find it available for purchase ...anywhere!! I've seen a select few reviews (two), all of which suggested that the product was picked at random from a lone store shelf. The only reason I was able to snag a bottle was because Gain was one of the sponsors of the recently attended Blogalicious 2011. And far be it from me to turn down swag (free stuff). I enjoyed dishing with the PR Team regarding the concept of Gain Fireworks but neglected to ask if currently available and as far as I can tell, it ain't. Perhaps Gain is trying to maintain some sense of exclusivity or build some buzz before fully releasing Gain Fireworks.

The Fireworks scent tagged as "sweet sizzle" has a fabulous aroma. And if not familiar, a scent booster basically provides your laundry a more longer lasting scent sometimes lasting for days after. A "boost!"

Per the instructions, you can shake a little or a lot into the cap and basically toss into your washer directly. The product consists of teeny, tiny scented pellets and depending on just how much of a "boost" you want, that determines how much you use but there are no restrictions. If you are washing a load of smelly, stinky, sweat ridden clothes, then you might want a BIG "boost" but if simply washing delicates, you might prefer just a small, sexy "boost". Who doesn't appreciate a good whiff?

Gain Fireworks is safe for all colors and fabrics. I've found it to be particularly fabulous when washing a load of sheets, washcloths, bath mats and towels which oftentimes carry the most horrendous scents. Being a Mommy, it's amazing how little ones can emit some of the most foul odors so it's also proved useful when washing active wear. I'm all for great product concepts which can take my sensory to another level however, please be weary if you have a sensitivity to scents because a product such as this can potentially further aggravate existing allergies. Also, please keep out of reach of children as they may not be aware that the cute, attractive little pellets are not for them.

Not to be confused with fabric softeners or stain removers, Gain Fireworks simply adds a heavier and longer lasting scent. It's detectable as soon as you remove clothes from your washer. You may notice sometimes wet clothes have a musty smell even after being washed. Gain Fireworks is a great remedy for that. Tossing Gain Fireworks into my washer makes me feel like I'm affecting some sort of change in the scent outcome of my laundry. I know, not that serious right? But as fab a concept as Gain Fireworks is, without knowing the price point (unable to find), I can't say definitively if it is a must-have. Thus far, I've been using it specifically when I wash my children's clothes and they literally have to push me off of them because I keep sniffing them. They smell so good!!

We realize there is ALOT of talent amongst our listeners, followers and fans so perhaps one of the positions below, might appeal to you. If you appeal to us, we will reach out to you. PLEASE NOTE: These positions aren’t full time and the schedule will be worked out per your availability and our needs.

Social Scene Stealer (DC): This is the perfect position for you if you are based in Washington, DC and if you like to be and are typically, out and about and on the scene at the best events/venues. As much as we are on the scene, we can’t keep up with everything. Looking for someone who can stay abreast of anything and everything going on in the DMV and who can manage our “Social Exclusive” calendar so that we can keep up with where we want to be, where we need to be and when. The position will require initiating relationships and maintaining existing relationships. If a reservation is required, you will be the one to confirm. If an RSVP is required, you will submit. If special accommodations are required, you will coordinate. Looking for a well-spoken, creative, organized, confident individual who can take initiative when needed. Most critical, accessibility and consistency.

PR Coordinator (US): An individual who can manage existing PR projects as well as create new projects to further develop the Bag Ladies Reality Radio brand. Oversee assigned brand related communication and marketing efforts (press releases/announcements, media impressions, social media), to further promote and extend the visibility of the brand which includes sponsorships, events, advertising, etc. Requires experience in the areas of PR and/or Marketing especially as it relates to social media. Will be required to provide examples of work. A schedule will be worked out per your availability. Looking for a well-spoken, hungry, creative, organized, confident individual who is aggressive and can take initiative as needed. This is a fabulous position for one who has started their own PR firm or is looking to do so.

PR Intern (US): If you are interested in PR and/or going to school for PR, we might have a spot on the Bag Ladies Reality Radio team, for you. If you are looking to gain hands-on experience as it relates to social media, developing a brand image and all things marketing/pr which includes drafting press announcements, soliciting media outlets for impressions, etc., Bag Ladies Reality Radio is where you want to be. A schedule will be worked out per your availability. Looking for a well-spoken, hungry, creative, organized, confident individual who can take initiative when needed and someone who has some PR experience, even if limited. Most critical, accessibility and consistency.

“Whatever” Assistant (2) (LA/DC): Assisting in an administrative capacity, in all areas of Bag Ladies Reality Radio which includes but certainly not limited to scheduling guests, following-up with contacts, receiving product samples, attending events, etc. We don’t at all endeavor to work you to the bone rather we just need a bit of help from time to time because we can’t do everything entirely on our own ...even though we have up until this point. But if you are looking to gain invaluable experience, be a part of a fabulous team and have A LOT of fun, this is a position for you. A schedule will be worked out per your availability. Looking for a well-spoken, creative, organized, confident individual who can take initiative when needed. Most critical, accessibility and consistency.

Content Producer (US): Assisting in efforts to develop content for Bag Ladies Reality Radio, ensuring tone and content fits into the overall concept of Bag Ladies Reality Radio. Will require researching show topics and potential guests. Coordinate content/show contributions. May require minimal assistance with audio/video editing. Must have knowledge of social media. Journalism and editorial skills are preferable. You must be creative and a strong communicator. You must be able to take the initiative and work independently.

VIP Reporters (US – DC/LA/NY/GA): You will be working very closely with the individual(s) who manages the Social Scene Stealer position. We are overwhelmed with invitations to various events, across the country. We are looking for a select few individuals who like to go out, who like to be seen and who can cover these events in our absence or when we are unable to or simply don’t wanna. Coverage may require doing a write-up, doing a video shot or doing an on-air recap. You must have a talent for mingling. You must be sociable; personable ...charming doesn’t hurt either. And you must be able to REPRESENT! We are looking for well-spoken, presentable individuals who have a fabulous sense of style meaning when it comes to the attire for certain events, you should know how to create a look that fits and is appropriate. You must be organized. Particularly interested if you have on-camera or voice-over experience.

Editor-In-Chief (US): Manage mybagladies blog content and efforts to build mybagladies blog overall. Position will require coming up with creative ideas for blog content/posts. Determining publishing frequency. Editing as needed and overseeing the process to publish finalized content. May require researching graphics or images to add to written content. Possibly seek guest authors to write content. You will shape the editorial focus of mybagladies blog. May require managing a select few freelance writers. This is a fabulous position if you are a writer and have experience in journalism, copy-editing or the like and/or if you are an English major. Must be a adept in social media. This opportunity will really be what you make it and you can make it great if you wanna.

How We Prepare ...Hurricane Irene!!!

As if we haven't already felt enough of Mother Nature's wrath with the 5.9 earthquake this past Tuesday. And to all of our West Coast listeners, followers and fans, I know you are still giggling and pointing the finger but for those of us who have never experienced an earthquake, it was MAJOR! It took down a yogurt cup for goodness sake! I mean, we are in Washington, DC ...we don't get earthquakes around here. At least we can brag now that we are, "earthquake survivors." But as if that wasn't a significant enough event, there's now the looming threat of Hurricane Irene, making landfall this weekend! I mean really, is Mother Nature that mad at us for not recycling, for just spitting our gum out wherever instead of disposing of it properly ...I mean what's the deal? So needless to say, folks are posting and tweeting "Hurricane Preparedness Lists", every second. And while we understand the importance, we are tweaking things just a bit to ensure we got all that we need. And so we've added just a few more items:

Prepare a script of what to say when you call in Monday morning to your Boss to let him/her know you won't be in. (Be sure to input words that will further convince and justify your needing to take off. Be sure to have a comeback when your Boss says, "the sun has been shining all weekend.")

To heck with those candles from the colonial days. Visit Bath and Body Works and take advantage of the 3 for $5 deal. Stock up! Not only will you set the mood and create a nice aesthetic but you will also have a great aroma which will likely be very necessary. If you are burning candles, your electricity is likely shot and the scent of spoiling food and sewage filled toilets, is not pleasant.

Alcohol, Alcohol, Alcohol ...we can't say it enough. We don't want to suggest any particular brand or drink recipe. Just get A LOT ...of alcohol and be prepared to sip good if things get bad. If you drink enough, you will care less about high gusting winds and your house toppling down all around you.

Sex Toys – You should already have a plethora of these anyway so shouldn’t require you making a mad dash to your local sex store. If you don’t have a collection, that’s another issue. Some may be thinking this only applies to single ladies but NOOOOOOO ...If you are living "Tales of Singledom", and riding Hurricane Irene out by yourself, than ok. But for those of you “bunned up” with your hubby or your boyfriend or whatever, you still might require stimulation too. Cause while you are all good, your man might be crouching down in the corner, screeching at every gust of wind. Men don’t take natural disasters well. So ladies you just might have to please yourself. Be prepared. (We know that you know what sex toys look like so no pictures included)

A Man - He's really needed moreso pre-hurricane. Have him move all your outdoor furniture inside. Have him go gas up the car. Bring in the bottles of alcohol. After that, he can scat!

Batteries - You will need them to ensure those sex toys keep a running.

Food - Just have an abundance of chocolate and treats and sweets. That's really all we crave as women when things are awry.

Games - Board games that is! If you have a family, you will already be gathered together in your candle lit basement. Why not pull out those games that have been sitting on your shelf collecting dust since Wii burst onto the scene. And keep in mind that you will surely be "winning" cause kids nowadays don't know nothing bout Monopoly, Checkers, Candy Land and Hungry, Hungry Hippo. They are too dang computer literate!

Let us not forget the adult games. We know you remember those college games when you were sitting in your dorm bored and broke. You will already have your favorite drink handy (check previous tip), so why not play Quarters, good ole truth or dare, ummmm can you say Spin the bottle!

Water ...well who needs it. If you got alcohol by your side, to heck with water ...and a man.

We are fastly nearing the return from our Holiday hiatus. We hope all of our listeners, followers and fans had a good one. It’s no longer the disappointing 2010 version which more closely resembled a station wagon and left consumers very much disenchanted. Once behind the wheel you will fastly realize why the 2011 Cadillac SRX is the best-selling vehicle amongst luxury crossover SUV’s.

Although you don’t necessarily associate an SUV with compactness, the SRX doesn’t weigh as heavy as the cargo volume, height and width might suggest. I know because during a Holiday shopping spree which I embarked on with full intent to shop for everyone but myself, I deterred and was surprised by the cargo space of which I utilized to hide certain items. The SRX has a rear cargo shade which can be used to separate items as needed…”all the better to hide my dear”, and a floor cargo area as per the hidden cargo management system. Cadillac uses the word “hidden” in the term so how can one expect it to be used for any other purpose? I (an admitted “shopaholic”), actually forgot about the items I placed in that floor cargo space but thankfully remembered before the scheduled pick-up time.

Cadillac is a recognizable brand and the grille with the Cadillac crest garners attention. I received quite a few thumbs up while in transit and engaging in the life that is me, Lady Erin for the week that I had the pleasure of whipping the 2011 Cadillac SRX back and forth. The presentation which is what I’m most immediately drawn to in a vehicle, is such that it’s a pleasure every time you put the SRX on the road and even moreso because the keyless access and remote start ensures that it’s ready to go. For those not familiar, per DMV.org, “A remote starter allows you to start your car or truck using a key-fob remote control―without going outside. If you left the heat or A/C on, it turns on when the engine does. Your car can warm up cool down, so it's nice and comfortable when you get in.” But as much as a remote starter is great, when I first see heated seats as per any vehicle’s specs, I’m in love. And trust, if you’ve never rested your "cold as ice" bottom on heated seats on a winter morning, you don’t know what you are missing.

The SRX is high-tech luxury and includes fabulous features so every time I left the office and stepped up (I’m only 4’11”), and into the SRX, I didn’t miss a beat. Everything from the standard touch screen and easy to use OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation (rises out of the dashboard), which allows you to specify the details of where you need to be and results in voice led Turn-by-Turn instructions on how to get there along with real time weather and traffic data. And although I primarily listened to El Debarge’s newest release, Second Chance during my time spent with the 2011 Cadillac SRX, the AM/FM/XM/CD radio with MP3 capability and 8-speaker Bose audio is not to be overlooked.

The Bluetooth for Phone allowed me to maintain constant and safe hands free contact with Madame Myra and handle all Bag Ladies Radio bizness while traveling to and fro. The rearview camera is a luxury that I absolutely love. It lessens the work required when it comes to backing up or parking. It’s like another set of eyes and combined with the alert which notifies you if too close to another vehicle or curb, you can park quickly, safely and with virtually no effort …it may even afford you bragging rights because you simply can’t park poorly with this feature.

The SRX comfortably seats five and includes luxuries some of which are standard, others of which are optional such as leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Ultra View panoramic sunroof (like having a skylight in your car), and iPod integration port.

As I am a “Bag Mommy”, the rear Dual Screen DVD’s lessened the “don’t touch me”, “you’re too close to me”, “stop looking at me” arguments because it was suppressed by, “A Cha rlie Brown Christmas”, “Daddy Daycare” and “Toy Story 3”. As a Parent, this feature perhaps outweighs all others because nothing can compare to the comfort and peace of quiet kids. Can I get an Amen!!

The walnut matte interior made for great “eye candy”. And various compartments from the doors to the seats, ensure you ain’t driving around with junk everywhere. You can stash stuff everywhere and out of the way. The front cup holder provided a perfect base for my Febreeze Pomegranate Reed Diffuser …you know I’m all about aesthetics ;-). Cup holders don’t have to be just for beverages. The smooth handling further complimented by front-wheel drive with traction control and StabiliTrack electronic stability control made for, to put it simply, a great ride. Turns and cuts were effortless. Handling was light. And the 3.0L, V6 Direct Injection provides robust power and allows you to go from 0 to 60mph in just 8.2 seconds with 265hp.

Although it’s been argued that the 2011 Cadillac SRX versus the 2010 model, is slightly heavier and affords less mileage, regardless of the specs and numerous design changes, it’s all about how you feel as a consumer and driver behind the wheel and as long as your preferences are met which definitely can and will be either by way of standard features or optional add-on’s, the 2011 Cadillac SRX is definitely worthy of consideration. The 2011 Cadillac SRX is rugged yet fabulously classy whereas I felt just as comfortable kicking it in my Add Down “Gloss Puffer” Jacket and UGG “Cassady” boots as I did in my Lanvin for H&M dress and Badgley Mischka “Humbie 2” pumps.

Sometimes our love of automobiles is discounted simply because we are women but we love to whip it back and forth in a fabulous ride, just as much as the next ...man. I enjoyed doing so in the 2011 Cadillac SRX. The starting MSRP is $34k.

"Pink Friday" by Nicki Minaj for MAC ...

We haven't made much effort to keep our feelings secret when it comes to Nicki Minaj. We've discussed off-air, on-air and most recently, during The Style And Beauty Doctor's fashion and beauty report on last week's show. The Style And Beauty Doctor gave us the exclusi ve scoop the week before.

Say what you will but there is no denying the buzz regarding this Friday's release of "Pink Friday". Included are pics from yesterday's press event at MAC Times Square in NYC. You definitely gotta give Nicki credit for working the press and media to garner as much attention as possible for the upcoming release of her debut album, also on Friday. Nicki Minaj has paired up with MAC to customize a limited edition, pink lipstick which will supposedly only be available via maccosmetics.com for, four Fridays only starting this coming "Black Friday", November 26th, 2010. Although we haven't yet seen, we've heard it described as hot pink, bubblegum pink and fuschia. We hope as do many of you, to soon have a chance to see for ourselves. Although after the experience that was the debut of Lanvin for H&M last weekend, we surely won't be doing anymore "stakeouts" ...even if just an online "stakeout". Share your thoughts. CHRONICLES OF POPPING TAGS",US DEBUT OF LANVIN FOR HM

"I'm Up" ...
Awoke at 2a on Saturday, November 20th 2010 feeling rather accomplished. I only hit the snooze button once! I was on a mission to "pop tags!" Before turning in the night before, I determined what my "stakeout" ensemble would be. The two major concerns were comfort and warmth. I followed the advice of this week's featured guest, June Ambrose and layered the hell up!!! I made a mad dash to the bathroom to brush, wash ...you know, all the essentials and proceeded to text my "roll dog", ElevarBeauty, to make sure she was up. She was my ride and I couldn't let her blow this for me, she had to get her ass up! She called me back to inform me that she hadn't even gone to sleep! I knew from that moment, this was gonna be FUN. I applied one layer after the other like a skilled ..."layer-er". Well, what do you call one skilled in layering? Although 3am at this point and as much as I wasn't in the mood, I was feeling just a tad vain so I beat my face with a lil powder and applied a lil blush and some gloss ...of course. If I don't do nothing else, I apply the gloss. My NARS Sweet Charity Lip Lacquer, is a must-have and has been for a minute. But back to the chronicles ...

"On My Way Baby!" ...
I proceeded to check-in with my DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) "stakeout" team to see where dey at! ElevarBeauty and I discussed possibly starting our "stakeout" earlier the nite before so I was really curious as to what the scene was looking like. My girl, ShanaJanelle tweeted that she was snug as a bug in a rug and that her and SilverLips were on the scene. She tweeted that I had no cause to worry cause wasn't much of a line at that point. ElevarBeauty was here ...I quickly grabbed the rest of my essentials and we made our way. My girl, SapphireBlu informed me that she was following our lead and would meet us on the "walk" (short and cute for sidewalk). As we made our way, ElevarBeauty and I came to the conclusion that we are either "crazy fashionistas" or "determined shopaholics" ...you make the call.

"In Waiting" ...
Upon arrival, we found a space right in front of the store, parked ...ElevarBeauty and I made time to high-five one another, and we made our mark on the curb. We smiled and greeted everyone nicely (refer to yesterday's mybagladies). We came prepared so we took a seat in our fold-out chairs, snuggled up ...I in a blanket and my daughters sleeping bag and ElevarBeauty in her cap or turban rather (shout out to JA), husband's sweats, under a blanket and with a pillow even ...why didn't she tell me, I would've brought a pillow too!! By this time, it was about 3:30a and I turned back to see SapphireBlu fastly approaching. We all hunkered down to play the waiting game. I did my thang and talked to others in waiting and learned that the folks at the front of the line had arrived 8p the night before! I was speechless. I snapped some pics and captured some footage ...ElevarBeauty snuck off to her car and caught a quick snooze, grabbed us some Starbucks, we laughed and joked amongst other shoppers regarding this being our first ever "stakeout" and before we knew it, the sun was coming up. We realized 8a was soon to come so we proceeded to put what we didn't need ...to shop, back in the car so we could effectively carry on with the mission, hands free! One of the guys nearby, also in waiting, helped us with our chairs and other belongings. I guess he didn't have anything better to do than wait right so why not? We saw the doors opening around 7:45a and you literally heard the entire crowd gasp which btw, by this time, was wrapped around the building (ElevarBeauty said a few rolled their eyes as she walked along the sidewalk with Starbucks in hand, to the front of the line practically where we held our spot). So we considered that perhaps Management was opening the doors a tad earlier than expected or perhaps they were distributing the color coded bracelets per the Lanvin for H&M shopping rules. But alas, they were passing out coffee and free croissants. We already had Starbucks in hand so we passed on the coffee but we did partake of those delicious croissants ...how could we not? At this time we were hungry, all giddy and giggly because of sleep deprivation so we barely knew which end was up but whatever, it's all about scoring some quality apparel, right? Little did we know, this was ...

"The Calm Before The Storm" ...
Immediately prior to opening the doors, the management team flocked us again but this time with the most adorable Lanvin for H&M tote bags with a Lanvin black scarf and for those that might require a reminder, instructions on how the shopping experience would be managed. We were on pins and needles by this point and SapphireBlu offered a great idea, to cut the lil flower off the bag and use as a brooch ...or something. I was too sleepy to pay her much attention. The bands were distributed also. As far as I could tell, we were like 36 in line so we knew upon arrival, we wouldn't likely be in the first wave but definitely the second and our wristband confirmed it.

"The Shopping Experience" ...
We walked along the worn out pink carpet rolled out at storefront, the doors opened and the madness ensued!!! Total lack of management afforded more folks than should have been allowed, access to the store so although we thought the Lanvin for H&M shopping instructions would be followed, they absolutely were not. Upon entering, folks pulled every stunt imaginable to make it to the TINY (and I mean tiny), enclosed area where the limited (and I mean limited), collection was displayed. Unfortunately, management made no effort to contain the crowd so they rushed the area where the collection was displayed. Although just in the second wave and although feeling like we had no worries, it took almost 40 minutes for Management to regain control of the crowd and allow us access to the collection. By this time, it was entirely picked over. We stood and watched as Management totally disregarded the rules and allowed shoppers to pick extreme quantities of each style. It was a madhouse!! Folks were pissed, folks were angry, folks wanted their Lanvin ...I, myself included. I watched with sadness as all of my "must-have's" not slowly but in the blink of an eye, disappeared. Anyone that knows me, knows I don't bite my tongue so I absolutely addressed the managerial staff ...all of em! But by this time, the damage was done. Upon gaining access to the collection which was far from complete, I selected a few items but not with nearly the level of enthusiasm I had hoped and certainly not that which I had upon entering the store ...even after waiting 4 1/2 hours. All I heard were screams of, "grab me this size!", "grab me that size!". The collection is indeed gorgeous and the quality is undeniable. The lookbook does not lie. But I didn't go in with the mindset of trying to score some pieces just for the sake of being able to say, "I got Lanvin!" But clearly the only option was to reset my list and pick what I wanted from what few items remained, which wasn't much. And mind you, we were only the second round! I began to feel bad for those behind us. The staff was clearly not very much in the know regarding the collection and were unable to answer questions regarding anything pertaining to the collection ...sizes or styles. Seemingly more attention was paid to a waiting list for the sunglasses. Upon exiting the collection shopping area, we made our way to the fitting room. We saw the first wave exit the shopping area with armfuls of pieces and boxes of shoes so I had hopes that perhaps a few lone shoppers would be back there having tried on a size in a style that I really wanted and perhaps might be willing to swap or something but one thing Management did do, they did an effective job of not allowing that for reasons that are still so beyond me. So my girls and I proceeded to try on that which we could grab and make decisions on that which we actually wanted to keep. We scoped out those shoppers who remained, to see if we could swap styles or sizes on anything and made our way to the register and although feeling "ok" about our selections, there was definitely a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. The experience that was shopping the debut of Lanvin For H&M, didn't quite go as planned but we still left the store with bags in hand. We came prepared for a fight and that we surely did. If one listened closely, they could hear the soft cheers as the crowd opened up as we made our way to the fitting room after having or after my having told "Management" about themselves. Uh-huh ...it really wasn't a case of "shopper greed" although "Mangement" tried to claim otherwise and made no effort to resolve their mistakes.

"The Experience That Was" ...
All in all, it was an experience and in all my shopping years, unlike any ever experienced before. And if it wasn't for the adorable packaging of everything from the pumps to the dress to the lipsticks, even, I might be carrying a slightly different attitude. Oh, what did I buy you ask? I purchased the plum off the shoulder dress. I purchased the four lipsticks in hot pink, red, burgundy and rose ...they really need to get more creative with the names. And lastly, the black pumps ...didn't intend to but the but the metallic heel sold me and wasn't nothing else left!! I wear the bracelet some 5 hours later as a symbol of what we endured today, the US debut of Lanvin for H&M.

The Benefits of Finger Curls ...

You think Kate Middleton is required to do finger curls just to hold that mug up?! You recall that line from Nia Long in Best Man, right? You be the judge. Seemingly folks are less engaged by the announcement that there is a wedding in the works and more enamored by the gorgeous oval sapphire and diamond engagement ring presented by Prince William. Perhaps that's what all single ladies should take to ...finger curls! It obviously worked for Kate. Even though some claim the marriage might be jinxed (they haven't yet made it to the altar), simply because the ring is that of Prince William's Mommy, the late Princess Diana.

QVC is on it! Reports are, QVC has partnered with Kenneth Lane to produce a "knock-off" that will be on sale starting tomorrow. They ain't wasting time!! Check the QVC Program Guide.

But as our follower and listener @msrasberryinc suggested, Kate Middleton is "flaky in the sense that she's broken up w/ him (Prince William) several times. as in what if she calls off engagement & tries to keep Di's (Princess Diana) ring."

COUNTDOWN 2 TOMORROW'S DEBUT OF LANVIN FOR H&M!!!!

It's a DMV "STAKE-OUT"!!!! And the countdown is on ..."Rise and Grind"!!! I literally did quite a few hours early this morning, all in an effort to prepare my body for tomorrow's H&M stake-out for the debut of Lanvin for H&M! Some of you might ask, what might possess one to rise in the wee hours of the morning, for fashion? My question to you, is not do you know the story behind Lanvin and designer, Alber Elbaz, but have you seen the collection?!!!!

If you tuned into this week's Bag Ladies Reality Radio, LIVE on-air "Passion For Fashio n" featuring Celebrity Stylist & Fashion Designer, June Ambrose, then you heard our latest fashion and beauty prescription delivered by "The Style And Beauty Doctor". We discussed tomorrow's debut and our plans to ensure that we lock our spot on the curb ...in the wee hours, and are admitted into the store upon opening at 8a, and popping Lanvin for H&M tags, upon exiting!!! And heads up, Bag Ladi es will lock a spot on the curb at 3:30am in front of the H&M F Street location in Washington, DC, unless we hit the snooze button one too many times. If so, it will be 4am.

Let's talk about how to maximize your Lanvin for H&M shopping experience!!! So for those of you planning a stake-out as are we here in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia), here are some shopping tips pulled from a Black Friday article on DealSeekingMoms.com:

1. Make a list - Review the collection and take your pick. As much as I'd love to walk out with the entire collection in hand, it ain't happening. If it was like that, do you think I'd be up waiting on a cold, dusty sidewalk for the debut? Know what you want so that you know what to grab in store and can make a mad dash to the register. This also prevents overspending.

2. Prioritize - What are your absolute "must-have's" from the collection? I've selected mine but I ain't telling ya'll!! But know that there is no guarantee that you will get everything you want. Note: we aren't the only ones awaiting this debut and as we discussed on this week's show, folks take it personally when it comes to fashion. You will be surrounded by those shopping the collection the same as you, who are willing to fight to the death for a particular style!

3. Be realistic - Review H&M's, "How To Shop Lanvin For H&M" ...enough said. Note phrases and words like "HIGH DEMAND", "QUEUING SYSTEM", "20 AT A TIME".

4. Take a shopping buddy - This could be beneficial perhaps if you drag someone along who has absolutely no interest in fashion. Otherwise, that friend could easily turn to "foe" when challenged with grabbing that one remaining "must-have". Envision eyes rolling, terror music playing in the background and an extreme stare-down as the both of you wonder who will make the first move. Flying solo might be the better option.

5. Leave the kids at home - I think you can figure this out for yourselves. Spare yourself and surrounding shoppers, the agony.

6. Research prices ahead of time - Click here to find prices for each style in the collection. Know your budget and what you can afford because the time spent calculating while in store can be advantageous to another "fashionista". While you're adding and subtracting in your head and counting numbers on your hand, she's grabbing. Know how much money you got and how much you can spend. It's simple!

7. Wear layers - You recall my previous mention regarding cold, dusty sidewalks? Well, that's likely where you'll be standing, awaiting the opening of your selected H&M store (find your store). We are heeding the advice of June Ambrose. Layer it up!!!! Tis the season so although not for all but for alot of us, there will be a chill in the air. My theory is I'd like to be comfy while I wait. As it warms up for some, you can peel the layers off. But for me, I will wear a bodysuit or something underneath those layers so although H&M is normally true to size for me, if I have to try on something with the "quickness", I can drop those layers to the floor which I absolutely will do for this collection. "Watch out there now!" 8. Bring snacks and water - "Pack plenty of snacks and water so that you have something to eat and drink while you wait in line or drive between stops. Waiting too long to eat because you're afraid you'll miss a great deal will affect your mood and energy level, so don't do it!" I absolutely agree ...let's face it, we are all likely gonna be a lil moody and irritated. We all would rather be in bed on a Saturday morning instead of keeping each other company in the wee hours. Make the best of it by having your supplies at the ready!

9. Set your expectations - Not to dampen your excitement but don't expect to get everything you want. This collection is historical! Some items might sell out, your size may not be available. Who knows? I'm already damn near on the verge of having an anxiety attack because that's how anxious I am and how bad I want something, anything from this collection!!

10. Be friendly - A smile and a hello goes a long way. Make friends with the staff and shoppers around you. Don't be afraid to reveal your size. Perhaps that very shopper or salesperson that you took the time to say hello to, might be more inclined to say, "hey" should they come across a style in your size. Let's support one another in our efforts. You'd be surprised, it works!

Bonus Tip - Put comfort first! The stake-out is not at all about looking your best, it's about maintaining comfort. We said we are growing and we need you on board to contribute so that we can keep up! We are looking for folks who understand the concept that is Bag Ladies Radio and are looking, able and willing to lend their talent and skills in various capacities. We are offering some great opportunities!! If you have an existing blog, site or whatever, the visibility that will be afforded you by working with us, is worthy of consideration (if we do say so ourselves), because of our position as a nationally broadcast show and established relationships with national brands, personalities, etc. The positions listed below are not paid positions with the exception of the Ad Rep however, we get A LOT of goodies from shoes to beauty products to cameras, computers and other gadgets. As much as possible, we will hook you up! Also, expect your social life to pick up because as much as we can, we will hook you up with various events. And of course there’s also the privilege of being able to say you work with the Bag Ladies on their fabulous reality radio show!!!

The positions aren’t full time. We offer a lot of flexibility from a time standpoint and will discuss what works best with your schedule and yet still allows you to meet our requirements. Also may require attending fashion related events and activities including MBFW ...we know you wanna go! Ideally, one who maintains a blog or other like outlet dedicated to fashion would be a great fit.

A MUA and/or writer would be a great fit for this position. We are looking for a beauty junkie to keep us in the know regarding the latest beauty news and products. We want someone who not only stays in the know regarding products but also industry experts and professionals and what they are doing, application techniques, new colors, etc. May require participating in live broadcasts from time to time and definitely will require attending industry events.

Lifestyle Editor
So this person will be responsible for content related to everything not beauty/fashion. We are looking for someone who stays in the loop regarding “what’s happening” and can offer a perspective that our audience can relate to when it comes to various topics be it health, relationships and anything else related to one’s lifestyle. Someone who is aggressive and can offer ideas for relatable topics. This position may require attending various events/workshops that may be of interest. This position will be moreso what you make it as it is not as defined as other positions looking to fill.

Bag Ladies Lend a Real Voice ...

In true Bag Ladies fashion, they delivered the candid, explicit real talk they are known for. Bag Ladies sets the tone for the reality that is a woman's life. Last night's show ran the gamut so as a listener, one could very easily become engaged in everything from the average length of a sexual encounter to all the buzz about Erykah Badu's ass as of late. And as if talk amongst themselves on these subjects wasn't enough, Lady Erin and Madame Myra were joined by two fellow male friends, Rakeem Harris and Octavius Jones, whom they've tagged as "The Male Perspective". They will join Bag Ladies from time to time and offer the male point of view on various topics. In between random comments, jokes and a listening session featuring Trick Daddy's "Pull Over That Ass Too Fat", the good time had by all was obvious and to add to the entertainment, friend Luvvie of Awesomely Luvvie added her 2 cents per "Badu's Badonk Is Bad", a blog post entirely dedicated to her initial reaction and first thoughts upon laying eyes on Erykah's ass! The same post which Lady Erin bragged was one of the funniest post she's ever read. Admittedly by Lady Erin, Bag Ladies digressed for a bit but the digression was so hilarious!

But as the Bag Ladies have been known to do and do well I might add, they switched gears entirely and prior to closing out the show, lent attention to "spring cleaning" but as they said not in the traditional sense. Bag Ladies' featured guest, Leah R. Patterson joined in to discuss cleansing of the mind, body and spirit and why now is the season of change. Last nite's show marked the launch of what will be a month long series on "spring cleaning" during which notions will be dispelled and Lady Erin, Madame Myra and Miz Adams will discuss everything from re-prioritizing one's life to getting rid of junk to doing a warddrobe makeover to renewing one's sex life. A great line-up of featured guests to be announced. And if for no other reason, as Lady Erin said, tune in because "Madame Myra is back and she brought her "Top 10" with her!"

We can’t make every party, every affair, every event, and every show that we are extended an invitation to attend. Unless you maintain your own celeb gossip site or blog, requires keeping up w/ the top celebrity and entertainment news outlets, developing and establishing relationships, scoping stories, prioritizing stories (what’s the hottest), and confirming story details. WANTED: “PR ADDICT”
Ideal prospect will be proactive in developing fun and creative ways to further connect w/ our listeners. We desire to further establish relationships and push the Bag Ladies brand and we are looking for someone who has the experience, knowledge and expertise to lead such efforts. The result of the fashion industry having rallied around Haiti, is a nation-wide effort to raise monies for the victims w/ proceeds from the "Fashion For Haiti" tee going to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. The campaign was organized by the The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), which appointed Beyonce as the face of the limited edition tee, and efforts are endorsed by fashion leaders such as Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, Donna Karan, Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta.

The "Fashion For Haiti" logo was designed by Peter Arnell. Peter Arnell designed another tee per a previous campaign also organized by the CFDA to lend support following 9/11. The black and lime green logo features the tag line "Hope Heal Heal Haiti" underneath a block design of "To Haiti With Love," with a map of the nation standing in for the word "Haiti". The sleeve will be marked with the "Fashion for Haiti" slogan and the inside collar will have "CFDA" printed on it.

The tee is manufactured by Theory and is now available for men and women at retailers nationwide or online at http://www.cfda.com/. We feel much the same as you in that how can we ever do enough for the victims of this tragedy but we can lend support. It's the least we can do and for just 25 bucks. Will Swirl Deliver The Goods?

Bag Ladies could surely say Swirl is just another Gilt Group, yet another online retail shopping outlet to make you feel guilty but Swirl has a personality all it's own and for those of us that wouldn’t otherwise have access to both high end, couture designers and fresh on the scene buzzmakers (as Swirl refers), it just means greater accessibility and how can you not love that? Bag Ladies sure does. You know Daily Candy, they deliver the latest and greatest in fashion, food, fun and style via email, video and the web. Well they saw the opportunity to not only bring us fashion news but the actual merchandise that makes the news and thus Swirl was born. The first sample sale launched just last month and still in Beta which means Swirl is still in development basically ...translation, a lot of tweaking of the site and additions of new features will likely be taking place over the next few months but I’d say Swirl is definitely off to a good start with sample sales by brands and Designers such as Burberry, Tod’s and Cosabella. As an existing DailyCandy subscriber, I’m promised special promotions and exclusive merchandise (I’ll get back to you regarding whether Swirl holds true to their promise). And for those of you who may not know what a sample sale is, it is basically when a Designer or store or design house sells promotional merchandise so the pieces may have been used in a fashion show, to show buyers or a photo shoot which is why the sizes available are typically very limited. But the discounts can be significant, ranging anywhere fro 20% to 80% off retail. And sometimes sales consist of leftover pieces from previous seasons which are discounted even more. One has to wonder however with the economy being as such and with all of the competition from similar sites like NET-A-PORTER (one of my faves), Outnet and more, will Swirl be able to sustain. But I guess as long as “fashionista shopaholics” like you and me exist, sites such as Swirl will always serve a purpose.

In terms of features, there aren’t a lot of bells and whistles and the site design doesn’t hold a lot of visual appeal. But minus the fuss means you can get down to the bizness of shopping cause there aren't alot of distractions so you likely won't be doing much stopping along the way. I just love the name Swirl and one standout was that seemingly all size zero models aren’t parading all over the site which gives the impression that Swirl is making an effort to speak to all women in all sizes and I applaud them for that. When it comes to shipping and returns, policies are standard. I’ll have to get back to you with my first-hand account of the overall shopping experience once having made my first purchase. Right now I’m asking "Santa Baby" to slip the $76.00 Cosabella Basic Bamboo Robe in Radish under the tree!

Bag Ladies Reality Radio was "All About The Cause" last night as they dedicated their weekly show entirely to Breast Cancer Awareness. And since October is in fact Breast Cancer Awareness month, it was a perfect fit and a great way to close out Bag Ladies last show of the month. But don't think you've heard the last of Bag Ladies when it comes to raising awareness, Bag Ladies efforts to lend attention to Breast Cancer and particularly the rising number of diagnoses amongst young women will continue beyond October and will be an ongoing conversation. Check out the "Pink Ribbon" featured last nite as per Bag Ladies "What's Sippin." The "Pink Ribbon" is 4oz. Pink Lemonade, 1oz. Triple Sec and White Zinfandel. As we were perusing potential looks to post for our Bag Ladies Look of the Week, we came across this pic of the First Lady last week on the south lawn of the White House promoting physical fitness at the Healthy Kids Fair, and fell in love that much more since if you're like us you were already in love with Michelle Obama. We couldn't take our eyes off this pic and it's less about the fashion this week although she brings it but instead it's more about the "free spiritidness" she portrays. Who doesn't want that? Who doesn't want to be able to pull that look off? She's so unpretentious and real which is why Bag Ladies Reality Radio loves her. She is totally oblivious to the press and paparazzi which we can deffie relate to cause the press and paparazzi always trying to capture our fabulousness but I digress. But to be able to capture that carelessness and still look nonetheless put together and sharp with a black studded wide leather belt, royal blue cardigan, slim fitting tapered capri pants, First Lady Michelle Obama won hands over fist. As for your role in capturing the look and getting us some pics ...if you so choose, cool but know that we want the look in its entirety which includes the accessory that is the hula hoop. That's right ...you gotta accessorize it up. So get to pulling the pieces together, dust off that old hula hoop and oh, be sure to put those hips in action too. Beyonce "rocked the frock" Friday literally at handbag designer, Samantha Thavasa's Meet and Greet at Studio Mouris Roppongi in Tokyo, Japan. "B" is simply chic, adorned in Rock & Republic as both the strapless black cocktail dress and cobalt blue suede "Celina" pumps with spike detail are both R&R. We love the trend that is the black strapless dress and the platform pumps are to die for and that color is making us drool. This is such an effortless look which are sometimes the best.

Currently performing in Asia, "B" was able to find time to make a pit-stop and support designer Samantha Thavasa whose handbags "B" refers to as hip and chic. Last time she was caught at a Samantha Thavasa event, sister Solange wasn't too far behind but this time "B" stepped out solo but not without a Samantha Thavasa design on her arm.

It's that good, that insightful and damn sure that funny!! Anything that explores how territorial and possessive Black Women can be and have always been about their hair whether it's their own biological hair or someone else's, is a guaranteed riot!!!

But back to what we doing here, we at Bag Ladies just couldn't take our eyes off the comfortably chic look Gabrielle Union rocked at the Good Hair premier and we are that much more excited to see how you, our listeners might pull it off. What's Poppin With The Paparazzi ...

Our Bag Ladies "Gossip Guru" always brings it to us every Tuesday with our What's Poppin With The Paparazzi segment and she literally has us falling out of our chair every week and tears strolling down our face with laughter. Tonite was no different. And one headline in particular was too hilarious not to immediately post and if you missed this eve's show, check it out here OnDemand. But as we talked about last week, Tyra's whole mission to sport her natural locks and get rid of the weave and commence some sort of a natural hair day, has garnered some attention not just from regular folk and fabulous Bag Ladies but also celebs. And one response in particular that we talked about tonite, could not be ignored. Our girl also actress and model, Joy Bryant let a rip! And like my friend and I were chatting about, call me stupid but I never knew she had a weave. Anyway, read for yourself below ...

Joy Bryant wrote a blog over at Essence.com. And she’s being half sarcastic and half real about her own addiction to weave. ANd how Tyra’s “real hair” realization has no effect on her:

As the threads of the grown-out tracks were being snipped, I broke out my laptop and began my ritualistic daily web search. I go from news of the day to articles/blogs about the news of the day, ending up on entertainment/gossip/fashion stuff.

But that day, something caught my attention and trumped all of the glowing reviews of President Obama’s health care speech:

It was Tyra’s hair.

National Real Hair Day? I missed that one…In fact, on National Real Hair Day, I was calling Extensions Plus in L.A. to make sure they had enough of the 20” “relaxed roots” texture hair that I love oh so much (and that keeps selling out like crazy!), and making an appointment to get my hair, I mean, my weave, hooked up.

So Tyra, while I didn’t take part in your observance, I just want to say: “WOW!” You are such a brave woman for breaking the chains that bound you since your teenage years! What courage that took, for you to expose yourself to millions of people! Such fearlessness!
Oh, how I wish I had the guts to do that. I guess I’m much too much of an insecure, self-loathing Negro for all that self-acceptance foolishness.

I’m glad we got down to solving the mystery of what’s under your lace-front, though. I mean seriously, it was “THE” question that has perplexed the world over. And now we see that there’s a beautiful head of hair underneath it all, hair that was surprisingly relaxed and ready for the world. Whodathunkit?! If I had the same length and fullness of hair that you have, I might take my weave out too.

Ha!!!! I’m just playing! Even if I DID have your “real” hair, I’d still be wearing a few tracks or clip-ons up in there.

Why?

Because I’m straight weave fo life, kid!!!

Ima ride ride wit this weave, die die with this weave!!

Let me break it down for you:

See, I loooooove taking new hair out of the bag, combing through it with my fingers, holding it up with my two hands, and burying my face in it. Mmmm, mmmm, mmm! Nothing like a new batch of zig-zag curly to get your self esteem out of the dumps!

The feeling of getting my hair, I mean, my weave done over. I feel human again. I feel sexy. I feel powerful. It makes me feel…it makes me feel…it makes feel like a natural woman!!!
I can be whatever, whoever I want to be with the stroke of a sewing needle…

With long brown tresses and a tan, I’m Pocahontas, ’cause I got Indian in my family. With easy waves, I AM bohemian rhapsody goddess personified. And now that I got blond highlights! What!? I know I look like Beyonce! You can’t tell me nothing! Uh oh, uh oh…
And then I looked up from my computer, and caught a glimpse in the mirror of my head minus the long weavy locks. I looked crazy! Awww hell naw! I looked over at the new batch of hair sitting off to the side waiting to join forces with me. Damnit, I’m trapped, I thought to myself. I can’t let it go. I am powerless over it. Just when I think I’m done, it pulls me back in!

Now I guess I can get help for my self-loathing addiction.

I can learn to accept myself in my entirety. I can emancipate myself from that which keeps me locked-up. I can embrace the natural state of things.

Yup, I can do all of that…

But don’t hold your breath!

It's Monday which means it's time for another fabulous look! Perhaps you might've caught some of the looks posted all over the world wide web from VH1's Hip Hop Honors 2009 which is the only way you will sneak a peek since the show doesn't air until October 13th. There were many head turning looks on the red carpet ...some good, most bad. But one look in particular that we liked and selected as our fave of the week, is our girl Eve. Always on the radar, Eve maintains her style and doesn't compromise. Eve achieves such a great balance between femininity and confidence with just a touch of testosterone thrown in! We love the way she rocked this little black dress. Everyone should have one ...of course it doesn't have to be Helmut Lang but Eve set it off with a gorgeous yellow and black striped clutch, fingerless gloves and Diego Dolci ni heels. Evidently she took the stage and presented so can't want to see her do her thang.

Bag Ladies Look of the Week!!

All attention of course was paid to the Emmy Awards Red Carpet last night. I felt a bit sorry for those that had to endure what was like 102 degrees to walk the red carpet and give it in an effort to get that one shot. You could clearly see the sweat on the brow of everyone. It was probably the most talked about subject on the red carpet. But nonetheless, there were definitely some standouts from Christina Applegate to Mariska Hargitay to Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. And you know I'm a die-hard Seinfeld fan and although Julia didn't make it as our look for this week, she can do no wrong. But our pick for the Look of the Week is Olivia Wilde from the show House. She drove home skin is in and perhaps the barely there dress left her a bit more room to breath cause I certainly didn't notice a bead of sweat anywhere on her. But this bare back, full skirt Marchesa dress not only garnered the attention of everyone at the Emmy's, Paparazzi and all but Bag Ladies as well. And the smoky eye was a great compliment. We are gonna try our best to tell you how to get it. And first time for everything ...we had to give Heidi Klum a gold star b/c she is absolutely the most gorgeous "preggers" woman we've ever seen and she worked the red carpet w/ Seal by her side in all her pregnant glory. So many fave looks to be had at last night's MTV VMA's, it made it nearly impossible to pick a fave. Although there were just as many looks that you wouldn't wanna be caught dead in on the red carpet. But for Bag Ladies Look of the Week, we just love the print of Cassie's plunging neckline silk floral print mini paired with metallic peep-toe booties. And the contrast of the bright yellow clutch totally sets if off not to mention those diamond cuffs. Say what you will about her hairstyle but still loving the originality and for this look, it's styled in such a way that it is garnering less attention and is rather a compliment to her sassy style. Her makeup is not too extreme or overpowering. The nude lip and smokey eye is perfect!

LABOR DAY: Ideas On How To Spend Without Having To ...Spend

As much as we'd all like to hit the road jack, it's not feasible for everyone. So Bag Ladies has a few cool ideas from Madame Myra's weekly Top 10. So if you don't already have plans, perhaps you might after reading this. And if all else fails, forget the cuddling and instead, drown your sorrows about the fact that you are stuck at home by hitting the malls, stores and boutiques for hella discounts and bargains. 1. Pull a recipe from a famous restaurant off the Web — try CopyKat.com or RecipeGoldmine.com — and make your own version of a five-star meal together.

2. Have him over for game night. Mad Gab, Uno, and Twister can all be played with just two people.

3. Buy all the fixings for tacos and make your own at home. You need only a handful of ingredients: tomato, avocado, meat, cheese, shells. Download Latin songs onto your iPod to set a festive mood.

4. Head to a casino with $20 in change and play the slot machines. They often serve free cocktails on the casino floor.

5. Have dinner at a bar during happy hour. There are usually drink specials, and you might also score free appetizers (or at least a gratis bowl of chips). Plus, cozying up on bar stools can feel more intimate than sitting across from each other at a table.

6. Teach each other to play your favorite video games, then place a sexy wager (whoever wins gets treated to a full-body massage that night, for example) before going head-to-head.

Eyeshadows are so hot for fall and with the variety of Sephora Mono Eyeshadow colors, you will surely find a shade amongst the 54 beauty-full shadows to compliment your look. 54!!! How can you go wrong?! And what's more, the shadows can be applied wet or dry depending on if you are going for a more sophisticated or natural look. My fave is the preppy look N41. We also love the Sephora Smokey Eye Brush which is designed to achieve a smokey eye and even comes complete with step-by-step instructions which I have not yet followed but I will surely get back to you with the results. So if you didn't know, you will know following purchase.

And not to be outdone, Bobbi Brown has a Long-Wear Cream Shadow collection for fall that consists of 8 metallic shades that will leave your lids glittery with a high-shimmer, sheer finish. And the texture is like velvet.

Of course Bag Ladies loves the smell goods and we hope you enjoyed our chatter as much as we did about some hot fall fragrances.

Apple Bottoms by Nelly is sweet and unexpectedly sexy and mature with a very pretty bottle. I couldn't stop sniffing myself. One of my absolute faves. I could definitely see it resting atop my vanity. Available in Macy's and bonton.com

The other fave is one of Kat Von D's fragrances for Sephora. You know Kat is the tatted up chick who had the reality show. Kat concocted two fragrances, Sinner and Saint. I thought my fave would be Sinner as I said on the show last nite, for obvious reasons but I instead preferred the sensual scent of saint filled with sandalwood and musk.

We just love the bottle design of Andy Warhol Success is a Job in New York. The genderless scent is the latest eau de parfum from Bond No. 9. But this fragrance definitely requires layering over something more sweet like a lotion or spritz. Maybe try one of Kiehl's Portable Essential Oils. But either way, you just might have to think twice about paying $145 although it's a $cent as $eductively $weet as a dollar $ign. Available October 1st at Bond No. 9 boutiques and Sak's.

And imagine your favorite perfume in the form of a potpourri or candle. Well that is exactly what Ferragamo delivers with the newly introduced Tuscan Soul Home Collection. The collection launches this month in select Salvatore Ferragamo Boutiques. We loved the Scented Stone the most because not only is it aesthetically pleasing but the scent which the handmade stone gives off is so supple and smooth. I was literally working the other eve and was smelling something good and couldn't quite figure out what it was and I realized the stone was resting on my mantel. The scent is so discreet that you can walk into someones home realizing something smells good yet not be able to put your finger on exactly what is. You will just wanna keep inhaling and taking deep breaths. The fragrance is guaranteed to last for three months. But the concept of the collection is just awesome!

It's that time of the week again. Bag Ladies sifted through numerous looks to find "the one". This one event in particular resulted in some real head turners. Everyone from Gabrielle Union to Taye Diggs stepped out on the red carpet for last week's InStyle Summer Soiree at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. But the one Bag Ladies fave was Ashlee Simpson in this sexy Jill Stuart bustier-style romper with a Dolce & Gabbana clutch and Brian Atwood pumps. And the piled on pearls against the satin really set it off!! You want a look like this, Bag Ladies will tell you how tomorrow. Stay tuned!!

Madame Myra's Top 10: Simply Put, Why We Ladies Are Better

Not that we need to justify but just in case someone poses the question, "what makes you think you are better than moi?", here are at least 10 reasons or rather facts to choose from. Tune into Bag Ladies tonite at 7p EST and listen to what Top 10 Madame Myra dishes out ...

1. We evolve hotter.
A recent study revealed that women are getting better looking through evolution; meanwhile, men are staying the same. After following more than 2,000 people through four decades of life, the study showed that attractive women had 16 percent more children than average-looking chicks and that beautiful people are 36 percent more likely to have a daughter as their firstborn. All those gorgeous daughters mean more beautiful women than in past generations.

2. We survive car accidents more often.
This is sad but true: Men are 77 percent more likely to die in a car accident than women, according to a study done by Carnegie Mellon University. Our boyfriends should be thanking us when we nag them to "Wear your seatbelt!"

3. We're better at seeking comfort.
A Mind survey of 2,000 people revealed that women are far more likely than men to talk through their problems. Fifty-three percent of women talk to their friends about what's stressing them out, as opposed to 29 percent of men.

4. We're more recession-proof.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 80 percent of those who have lost their jobs since December 2007 have been men. Ouch. This could be because male-dominated fields have been hit the hardest, like manufacturing and finance. That really sucks...but hey, maybe it's time more men became nurses and educators.

5. We graduate college more often.
We already know that female enrollment is higher than male, but the Department of Education's statistics reveal that men are also less likely than women to graduate and get their bachelor's degrees. Men are also more likely to take longer than five years to complete their degree

6. We eat healthier.
A survey of more than 14,000 people, conducted by the University of Minnesota, showed that women choose far healthier foods than men. While men are more likely to chow down on frozen pizza and red meat, women are piling fruits and veggies onto their plates. It all sounds pretty obvious, but we get so much grief for our chocolate addictions that we just had to point this one out!

7. We have stronger immune systems.
No wonder men act like such babies when they have a sniffle — women really do have stronger immune systems than men! If there are little battles going on in our bodies, women have a secret weapon: estrogen. A study done by McGill University indicated that estrogen gives women an edge when it comes to fighting off infections. That's because estrogen confronts a certain enzyme that often hinders the body's first line of defense against bacteria and viruses.

8. We live longer.
Among the world's population of those who are over 100 years old, 85 percent are women, according to the New England Centenarian Study. In general, women continue to live five to 10 years longer than men as well.

9. We're better managers, especially in this economy.
This one is a little controversial, but a slew of experts are confident that women make greater bosses because they are better listeners, mentors, problem solvers, and multitaskers than their male counterparts. In a recent Daily News article, management expert Jay Forte said, "It's a very service-oriented economy [right now], so you need employees to be motivated. Women are better connectors than men and more astute about knowing how to activate passion in their employees."

10. We communicate more.
This one isn't about talking a mile a minute, like you probably suspected. It's now scientifically proven that women can process more words than men. A study done by Louann Brizendine of the University of California at San Francisco showed that men can process approximately 7,000 words per day, compared to women's 20,000 words. The study found that this characteristic can start as early as the fetal stage and is more biological than social.

So yesterday we posted what it was and today we tell you how to get it. And we are referring to Bag Ladies Look of the Week for those of you whose minds were starting to wander. Bag Ladies kept it cute and simple this week and we are profiling a style that in one motion, you can pull it on and in one motion, you can slide it off.

There are various ways you can accessorize a romper and take it from completely casual to completely hot in a matter of moments. Slip on a belt on and cinch the waist or throw a blazer on and dress it up that much more. We found similar styles in various boho prints that we loved just as much as this one Kiely Williams of 3LW rocked at last week's opening of Upstairs Boutique in West Hollywood, CA. And what is boho chic you might ask ...It's relaxed, it's comforable, it's easy and in terms of color, earth tones or a floral print but overall, that bohemian feel. The chic-ness depends on how you accessorize.

One of our fave online shopping destinations, Shopbop offered a few rompers. This Brigid Catiis Jaclyn Romper is a great look. It's a bit more costly being $168 but it's a limited edition piece and exclusive to Shopbop. We particularly liked the pockets and gathered waistband. Also comes in a black and white zebra print.

Also from Shopbop, we couldn't resist the color pattern of this one. Just cause it's boho doesn't mean it has to be color no-go. Was that a bit lame? Well whatever. This What Comes Around Goes Around Jasmin Romper with multi floral print pairs well against the silk texture. Again, the elastic banding at waist makes you look smaller and the pockets are just practical. A bit heftier cost at $230.

This Free People Summertime Floral Romper gives the illusion of being a dress but it's a printed woven romper with halter ties and side pockets. A price tag of $108 is not bad and the benefit of so many adorable colors is that you can accessorize it with anything and everything.

One of the score's of the week, this Urban Outfitters Ecote Strapless Smocked Jumper is, drum roll please ...$19 bucks! Comes in both the print seen here and deep navy and per the reviews, fits close to size and there are still a plethora of sizes available at urbanoutfitters.com. You get the pockets wit this one too. The legs are a bit shorter but you can always slip a pair of leggings under it or if you are blessed with great legs that you don't mind showing off, do you!

So being the considerate ladies that we are, we recognize that not everyone me included can pull off the rompers and instead the jumpsuits are the better way to go. In keeping with the theme, we found this Newport News Bandini-print halter jumpsuit for $49.

Some of our fave accessories to compliment the style of the boho chic look.

We adore these MICHAEL Michael Kors Rose Open Toe Silver Pumps/Heels found at Overstock.com. And silver is a color that can easily be paired with any print and provide a nice contrast to color particularly deep, darker colors

We can't mention silver without mentioning gold which really offsets bright colors. This Chinese Laundry Bootsy goes great with the Shopbop Jasmin Romper we profiled above. $68

And some clutch ideas ...For $86 bucks, the snakeskin J. Renee "Christi" Flap Bag can easily be paired with both the Free People and Urban Outfitters rompers. The look of print on print is a great look!

The silver Zagliani Python Clutch also a snakeskin, has exquisite detailing but for Zagliani, be prepared to pay. It just was so delicious to look at, we had to profile it. The cost, $1500.

The large black clutch from Target is definitely a best buy and not only is the side bow a great accent but the patent leather makes it the perfect accessory for any outfit. It reminds us of a patent purple Christian Louboutin clutch and for $14, it's a must have. Only available online.

As far as jewelry, the sky's the limit but with a romper style, you want to wear styles that lengthen your frame which although flats certainly work should you just be running around but for a night out, a great heel is the best. But in terms of jewelry, a long dangle earring to elongate the neck and for a necklace, keep it simple because the boho print speaks for itself so you don't want to make the look too gaudy. If you do wear an elaborate necklace, keep the rest simple so solid color shoes and clutch. But add an over sized blazer to create one look and a short cropped jacket to create another. That's one great thing to love, the versatility of rompers and jumpsuits.

Although Bag Ladies ain't never been a fan of 3LW, we like the way Kiely Williams is rocking this romper. The pattern of this boho look doesn't require much as far as accessories. Kiely keeps it simple but chic which was perfect for the casual tone of the Grand Opening of Upstairs Boutique in West Hollywood, CA last week. Folks rocked some great looks last week including one of our faves, Amber Rose so to decide on one look was hard and we almost went with two but in keeping with how we do it, we forced ourselves to just select one and our love of rompers and jumpsuits may have influenced our decision a bit but what can you do.

During our sex chatter yesterday, Bag Ladies was joined by our Fashion Maven, TJ of Evil Kitty Kreations to talk about some hot lingerie styles to add to that which Dr. Hilda told us about setting the mood and and not only creating a space that fosters intimacy but also creating a bedroom look which means putting on some sexy panties and a hot bra or negligee and not to be forgotten, those stilettos.

Lady Erin loves Phillip Lim and can say nothing but great things about his lingerie line. This piece totally reflects the look and range of the collection which consists of pieces that as one blogger put it,begs to be worn outside the bedroom. This piece can be sexed up for the bedroom or toned down with some flats and a denim jacket and be equally as sexy.

You may just know Dita Von Teese for the burlesque thing but she's fastly becoming known for her "Wonderbra by Dita Von Teese" collection. As you can see, more than just panties and bras but garters too. Oooh! The collection offers a wide range of sizes since Von Teese herself is very curvaceous. Her pieces enhance the cleavage and some of the panties have quick release magnetic clasps. All the better to undress you my dear!!

Elle Macpherson's Intimates Fall 2009 collection offers color galore like popcorn yellow and prints too! And the difference with this collection is that Elle is offering pieces for full cups D-G. But we just love this coral and black slip that looks more like a dress than an intimate piece.

And look for Molly Sims to get in on the act come Spring 2010.

BAG LADIES Look of the Week: Rihanna

This week's BAG LADIES Look of the Week is our girl Rihanna who has been yielding alot of attention as of late for her new haircut. Well, Bag Ladies absolutely had to give her the attention she deserves when we came across this recent look of which she was outfitted in an Alexander McQueen (can't ever go wrong) jumpsuit, at the London premier of Quentin Tarantino's, 'Inglourious Basterds'. As most are saying, she looked, "Glorious for Inglorious." The Alexander McQueen jumpsuit paired with a black clutch, shades, lace elbow length fingerless gloves, Maison Martin Margiela booties (her fave) and too many pearl strands to count all of which are probably real and most likely multi-strand as opposed to individual ...she pulls this look off like the fashion icon in the making she is ...And the thing is, it's one thing to have a stellar look but it's another thing entirely to be able to "pull it off". Not everyone can do what Rihanna does. Not everyone can wear Alexander McQueen. Not everyone can take the types of fashion risks she does and exude that level of confidence. It's hard to deny. Both her fashion sense and beauty, makes you drool with envy.

All of the pieces I've seen from Alexander McQueen's Resort 2010 collection, are awesome. I can't wait to see it in it's entirety.

Now onto the good part ...you want this look? Here's how you can get it and for less! Oh yes, it can be done and Bag Ladies will tell you how and how to make it your own. Of course unless you are living under a rock, it's no secret that jumpsuits are all the rage and clearly are here to stay beyond this current season. They are practical. They are functional. I love them! There are so many different style options. You can take a jumpsuit and pair it with Elie Tahari flats and a denim jacket and run around like a chicken with your head cut off during the day and take that same style, upgrade the accessories, slide into some Rupert Sanderson sling-backs and rock it for a night out on the town with the best of them. But our focus is achieving Rihanna's look so let's get on with it.

As for the shades and black clutch, I trust you to be a true fashionista which means you're capable of finding on your own. We found multi strand pearls in varied lengths everywhere from H&M to Nordstrom. It really depends on your preference and how much you wanna pay. If you wanna go for freshwater real pearls, then hit Nordstrom but if you are looking for something to show just as well and for just a few bucks, check out these two multi stand styles which came from Forever21.com and for $7. I rather like the idea of mixing and matching different styles and lengths. As for the lace fingerless gloves, it may require a bit more searching to find elbow length but there are several different brands and options. Admittedly, I've never had a reason to search for lace, fingerless gloves but I found a pair at amazon.com for less than 14 bucks.

Black jumpsuits can be found on the racks of retail outlets everywhere but we definitely preferred styles that afford the same v-neck, the slim fit and the tapered leg of the Alexander McQueen jumpsuit so here are a few different style and price options:

We like this French Connection lucy twill jumpsuit because it's currently on sale for $89.99 but also because of the belted waist and tapered leg.

Now this one may look a bit familiar. And that's because this is an Alexander McQueen as well. This McQ Tuxedo Jumpsuit has a similar leg, v-neck and tapered waist which we love. Not as cost effective but also not as much as the jumpsuit Rihanna is sporting and $561 for Alexander McQueen really ain't bad. If you got it, why not. I damn sure would and maybe will. You better snatch it quick!

Bag Ladies Best Celebrates the Best ...

Bag Ladies had the pleasure of attending the Washingtonian Magazine’s Verizon Wireless Best of Washington event on July 15. Let’s start by saying I almost went into sensory overload when I entered the venue. The event was held at the gorgeous National Building Museum right here in Washington, DC!!! From the moment my guest and I stepped foot through the door, we were hit with samplings from the winners of the contest. I can't think of a better way to start an evening full of over indulgence, than with ice cream! And delicious ice cream from Morrenko’s in Silver Spring was set up in a traditional ice cream truck, right outside…soft serve to die for, with delicious fruit toppings…believe me, it’s exactly what we needed after the walk from the car.

Upon entering the venue, my guest and I decided to mill around and see "who's who" was in attendance. Of course, I happened upon Georgetown cupcake (it wasn't planned), and chatted with those wonderful ladies for almost ten minutes while devouring their world famous red velvet cupcakes. Admittedly, I had three. I guess I should've considered the standard but anyone who has had the pleasure of tasting these treats, knows you can't stop at just one or perhaps I just can't stope at one. Next stop…the bar…of course. While many restaurants served their signature cocktails to go along with their munchies, Washingtonian had the foresight to have three full sized bars serving beer, wine, and soda. There were a number of restaurants that completely showed off….8407, opening in August in Silver Spring, offered a delicious smoked salmon and cream cheese petit four with an arugula salad that was absolutely delicious; BGR, the Burger Joint served up amazing burgers with a pickle, a little onion, and their “special” sauce. Honestly, if I didn’t have to try everything to report back to you guys, I would've posted up here all night ...the torture of having to move on though and devour even more delectable cuisine. To my great surprise, California Tortilla served the tastiest burrito I’ve ever had…and totally beat out Rosa Mexicano for my favorite Mexican Restaurant in attendance(RM only served their guac…it’s good, but come on)…Pete’s New Haven Style Apizza (that’s right, it’s “ah-beets”) didn’t give us pizza…instead they gave us what looked a lot like the toppings at the falafel bar in Adams Morgan, but it was tasty nonetheless…a little tabouleh, beet salad…you get the picture.

There were a number of places that lost their signs by the time I got around to tasting (people were taking full advantage of the bar and once they started dancing…you get the picture)….the only ones worth mentioning are the amazing sausage lasagna; and the bread pudding and brisket…Magnificent! A couple of places totally let me down…Founding Farmers, a gorgeous organic restaurant, over on Pennsylvania Ave in downtown served trail mix and bread with sauce…come on guys. I will say, on the positive side, I’ve dined in the restaurant before, and it was amazing…I guess I expected more. Matchbox was a fun table, but the sliders were dry…and I mean dry…had fun talking to those guys though.

In a nutshell, three hours of sensory overload…visual (the room was decorated immaculately…candlelit, but still very bright and vibrant. Chinese dragons weaved through the crowd, along with the Nationals mascots, and several different dance troups); auditory (the DJ was GREAT, I actually remember saying “OWW” a few times…couldn’t control myself); olfactory (one would think all of the smells would send you running for cover, but each vendor’s aroma was very nicely contained to their area and the smells just kept that belly bulgin’); and of course…taste. Jennifer Haber and the rest of the team at Washingtonian mag did an excellent job creating an atmosphere and vibe that made for a great event. All the restaurant locations that make you slobber and drool per the Washingtonian annual issue, that's supreme! It was a wonderful night of mingling with DC elite and sampling the wares of all of those restaurants you’ve been meaning to try.

Solange Takes It All Off!!!

WOW!!!! That's all Bag Ladies can say about this one. What do you think about our girl Solange? I personally can't say too much cause this Lady rocks the short do herself but seems a bit more drastic in this case particularly when she's made claims previously that all the comparisons to big sis might cause her to go off the deep end and chop it off. So might this look suggest that she has in fact gone off the deep end? Hope there isn't any sort of bad vibe between the sisters. Can't wait for further details to be revealed regarding Solange having pulled a Britney Spears on us. What's Poppin with the Paparazzi!

If you aren't up to speed on what's dominating the celeb front, here are some of the celeb tidbits Bag Ladies discussed during yesterday's What's Poppin With The Paparazzi segment. Everything from Terrell Owen's body and Ciara's new do to NeYo going out like a biatch!

Rihanna is rocking the new punk tuft with shaved sides and back which seems to be the latest trend with everyone from Cassie to LaLa getting down with the shaved look. And I guess moi too :-) ...Whatcha think? Rihanna has such a distinct style and her stylist Mariel Haeen, does such a great job defining her look, it's hard to say Rihanna ever looks bad. Not one of my fave looks but it's summer, we all like to keep it easy.

Chris Brown's (insincere) video apology to fans and Rihanna. The lack of emotion and total look of reading from a teleprompter or a script, makes you question the point and what he is hoping to accomplish. But I do pray he can get back on track.

Yet another video ...NeYo crying like a biatch (you were right Madame Myra), while in Manchester UK as the crowd boos. As we discussed on last night's show, there absolutely has to be some emotional distress going on for other reasons cause nobody balls like that b/c of a sinus infection. I've had more sinus infections then I can count but I ain't never gone out like NeYo! I expect more details to be revealed. It's almost like one would certainly hope there's more going on if cause if he did in fact cry and I mean cry, like that over a sinus infection, that's just ridiculous!

Ciara's new pixie cut. Word has it she's trying whatever she can to boost the mild record sales of her new album. Can't hurt so I guess she get's an A for effort. What do you think of the new do?

Morgan Freeman and his step grand-daughter (pictured here), who he has reportedly been having a relationship with for years now. If you check out last nite's Bag Ladies episode OnDemand, you will no doubt hear my astonishment. You were right Madame Myra. I found it all over including on perezhilton.com, so it must be true. But according to reports, his wife said they have always had an open relationship and plans are, once they divorce, Morgan will marry his step grand-daughter being as though there is no blood relation. Eeeew!

If you don't know, after looking at these pics you surely will know. It's all about that body on TO. Damn! Check out his new reality series on VH1. It's tolerable and if the body ain't enough reason, I don't know what more I could say to sell ya!
